Robert Bird Group in London is seeking a talented Design Engineer – Geotechnical to join our growing team. This role involves design, analysis and delivery of geotechnical solutions for building, infrastructure and temporary works projects across the UK and internationally, collaborating with structural, civil and construction professionals.

You will develop technical expertise toward Chartership, prepare calculations and reports, perform design checks, and mentor junior engineers while

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Approximately 3+ years’ experience in geotechnical engineering design and analysis.
• Knowledge of UK design standards and Eurocodes.
• Experience with geotechnical design software and engineering analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Undertake geotechnical design and analysis for retaining walls, deep/shallow foundations, earth retention systems, and ground improvement.
• Prepare engineering calculations, reports and technical specifications.
• Perform design checking and technical reviews.
• Undertake ground movement assessments and monitoring reviews.
• Assist in the design, procurement, interpretation and management of ground investigations.
• Conduct site inspections and provide technical support during construction.
• Coordinate with stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams.
• Mentor graduate engineers and junior team members.
• Implement and maintain quality assurance procedures.
