Job summary

Soletanche Bachy UK Zone, Sizewell site, is seeking a proactive Site Operations Manager to lead efficient site operations, manage resources, and ensure safety and quality across the project lifecycle.

You will work with the Project Manager to coordinate logistics, plant, and personnel, and ensure compliance with procedures and the BMS while developing the workforce and driving zero-harm outcomes.

Qualifications

• Minimum CPCS qualification at Manager/Professional level
• Clear customer focus
• Clear drive and ambition
• Ability to manage conflict and negotiation
• Ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels across the organisation and externally
• Knowledge of Health and Safety Management
• Experience delivering major infrastructure projects
• Knowledge of training requirements within the BMS
• Understanding of piling and diaphragm wall techniques

Responsibilities

• Oversee all site activities including logistics, temporary works, plant and people interface
• Manage the programme for deployment of site staff and plant
• Coordinate with project departments to ensure timely delivery of fit-for-purpose plant and tools
• Ensure all work complies with work procedures and the BMS
• Provide right quantity, quality and skills mix of operatives within timelines
• Develop apprentices and workforce to maximise competence
• Collaborate with operations, preconstruction, commercial, plant and QA/design teams for efficient delivery
• Ensure compliance with the Management System through support and audits
• Lead and coach site teams to meet deliverables and maintain Zero Harm focus
