Job summary

K10 Apprenticeships invites applicants to join the Heathrow Shared Apprenticeship Scheme as Geospatial Survey Technician. The programme blends classroom learning with on-site surveying across England, supporting early-career geospatial engineers on major projects.

You will learn to work with GNSS, GIS, Total Stations and 3D laser scanners while contributing to flood, drainage and climate resilience initiatives, under safety guidelines and supervision.

Qualifications

• GCSE English, Maths and Science at grade 4/5 or above.
• Interest in geospatial surveying and construction environments.
• Desire to learn through formal Level 3 Geospatial Surveying Technician training.

Responsibilities

• Carry out geospatial and land surveys on indoor and outdoor sites.
• Use GNSS, GIS, Total Stations, 3D laser scanners, drones and related tech.
• Produce 2D plans, elevations and 3D models from collected data.
• Contribute geospatial data to flood risk, drainage and climate resilience projects.
• Follow health, safety, environmental and quality procedures on site and in the office.
• Travel to client and project sites; communicate findings to teams and stakeholders.
