Job summary

Pertemps Specialist Talent Solutions is hiring a Geospatial Apprenticeship Trainer in Tyne and Wear with regional travel. Salary £35,000–£45,000; full-time permanent.

Deliver engaging training for Level 3 Geospatial Survey Technician Apprenticeship, both remotely and face-to-face, while supporting learners and employers to develop technical knowledge and practical skills. Industry professionals with surveying experience, knowledge of GNSS, Total Stations and laser scanners, plus AutoCAD and GIS,

Qualifications

• Industry experience within Land Surveying, Engineering Surveying or Geomatics.
• Experience using surveying equipment such as GNSS, Total Stations and laser scanners.
• Good working knowledge of AutoCAD and GIS software.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality training both remotely and face-to-face.
• Teach surveying principles, mapping, geospatial data collection and spatial data interpretation.
• Support learners in use of GNSS, Total Stations, laser scanners and other surveying equipment.
• Deliver training on AutoCAD, GIS software and geospatial data processing.
• Manage a caseload of apprentices and monitor their progress.
• Conduct regular learner reviews with employers.
• Provide guidance and feedback on assignments, portfolios and workplace activities.
• Prepare learners for End Point Assessment (EPA).
• Promote Maths, English, safeguarding and professional standards throughout delivery.
• Maintain accurate learner records and ensure compliance with quality and funding requirements.
• Stay up to date with developments in surveying and geospatial technology.
