Job summary

Penguin Recruitment Ltd in London is seeking a Geophysicist to join a specialist site investigation consultancy. The role combines office and site-based work across London and wider UK, with exposure to geophysical techniques and project ownership.

You will plan surveys, operate equipment, process data and produce technical reports, collaborating with geotechnical and geoenvironmental teams. A degree in Geophysics with 3–5 years' experience plus a UK driving licence is expected.

Qualifications

• Degree in Geophysics or related Earth sciences with 3–5 years' experience.
• Practical experience carrying out geophysical surveys.
• Knowledge of geophysical data processing and interpretation.
• Experience producing technical reports.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Plan and carry out geophysical surveys.
• Set up and operate geophysical equipment.
• Collect and quality check field data.
• Process and interpret geophysical data.
• Produce technical reports, figures and drawings.
• Provide geophysical input into wider ground investigations.
• Liaise with clients, contractors and other consultants.
• Support project planning and preparation.
• Work alongside geotechnical and geoenvironmental teams.
• Travel to sites across London and the UK.
