Job summary

Penguin Recruitment in London seeks an experienced Geophysicist to join a specialist site investigation consultancy. The role offers a mix of office and field work across London and the UK, with opportunities to lead projects and develop expertise in geophysical techniques.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Geophysics/Geology/Earth Sciences and 3–5 years' relevant experience, with proven data processing, reporting, and client liaison skills. A UK driving licence is preferred.

Qualifications

• Degree in Geophysics, Geology, Earth Sciences or related field, with 3–5 years' experience.
• Commercial experience in geophysics or site investigation.
• Ability to operate and set up geophysical equipment.
• Experience producing technical reports.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Plan and carry out geophysical surveys.
• Set up and operate geophysical equipment.
• Collect and quality check field data.
• Process and interpret geophysical data.
• Produce technical reports, figures and drawings.
• Provide geophysical input into wider ground investigations.
• Liaise with clients, contractors and other consultants.
• Support project planning and preparation.
• Work with geotechnical and geoenvironmental teams.
• Travel to sites across London and the UK.
