Job summary

Gold Fields is seeking a Mine Geologist to support ore recovery, data analysis, and reserve delineation at its St Ives operation. You’ll work with the Senior Mine Geologist and team, contributing to high-quality geology services and development of practices at a top-tier site.

The role offers a flexible roster (8 days on, 6 days off) with options for residential or FIFO from Perth, relocation assistance, and accommodation support for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Geology and mining experience.
• Proficiency with mining software (Datamine/Leapfrog) and MS Office is expected.
• Valid manual driving licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with diamond core logging of grade control.
• Assist with underground diamond drill rig management and QA/QC protocol.
• Support Mining Team in maximising ore recovery and minimising dilution.
• Collect, analyse, and report underground grade control data to inform block modelling.

The Opportunity:
You’ll work closely with the Senior Mine Geologist and Mining Team to deliver high-quality geology services. You’ll make a meaningful impact by supporting ore recovery, data analysis, and reserve delineation at St Ives. You’ll have the opportunity to contribute, collaborate, innovate, and develop geology practices at a high-performing site.

This role can be offered on a 8 days on 6 days off roster as either residential in Kambalda or Kalgoorlie OR Fly in Fly out from Perth. Bus transportation is offered to and from site for residential candidates and relocation assistance will be offered to the successful candidate if required.

Up to six months’ free, company-provided accommodation may be available for eligible candidates from under-represented groups (for example, women in mining and Indigenous Australians) relocating to Kambalda for permanent roles.

Accommodation includes basic furnishings and utilities and is subject to availability and housing policy, with support available to assist with transitioning to a lease after the initial six-month period. Eligibility and final terms will be discussed during the recruitment process.
