Job summary

SOCOTEC Building Control Limited is seeking an Assistant Geologist / Engineering Geologist to join our Geotechnical team in the UK. You will support ground investigation activities, logging soil and rock to BS5930:2015 standards, perform in-situ testing and sampling, and help plan and supervise projects.

The role requires a degree in geotechnical discipline, a full UK driving licence, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Degree-level qualification in a geotechnical discipline.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Logging soil and rock in accordance with BS5930:2015.
• Performing in-situ testing and sampling to current standards.
• Assisting with planning and supervision of ground investigation projects.
