Job summary

SOCOTEC UK & Ireland is seeking a Geologist / Engineering Geologist to join our Geotechnical, Infrastructure division. This role supports ground investigation and geotechnical services, contributing to project success across the UK.

The candidate will plan, supervise and execute GI projects, log soils/rocks per BS5930, and perform in-situ testing to current standards, working both independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Degree-level qualification in a geotechnical discipline.
• 2–5 years’ experience of Ground Investigation works.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Plan, supervise and program ground investigation projects.
• Log soil and rock in accordance with BS5930:2015+A1:2020.
• Perform in-situ testing and sampling to current technical standards.
