Job summary

Justteachers is seeking an enthusiastic Geography Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Leeds this September. The role is full-time and runs until Christmas, with a strong possibility of extension for the right candidate.

You will deliver engaging Geography lessons to KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable), plan and assess in line with the national curriculum, and differentiate to meet diverse learner needs. Collaborative work with the Humanities department is encouraged.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching Geography in a UK secondary school setting.
• Ability to engage and motivate students of varying abilities.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and high-quality Geography lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable but not essential).
• Plan, prepare and assess lessons in line with the national curriculum.
• Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of all learners, including SEN and EAL students.
• Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to support development.
• Maintain strong classroom management and a positive learning environment.
• Work collaboratively with the Humanities department and wider school staff.
• Contribute to departmental planning, meetings and school activities where required.

Pre-requisites:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualificatio

• Excellent communication and classroom management skills
• Ability to engage and motivate students of varying abilities
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
