Job summary

The Government of The United Kingdom is seeking a dedicated school staff member to contribute to improvement plans and develop high quality lesson plans with supporting resources for their classes.

They will share planning with colleagues, provide student feedback, maintain SIMS records, track progress, and ensure effective communication with parents while supporting safeguarding and equal opportunities across the school community.

Qualifications

  • Experience working in schools or education settings.
  • Ability to plan and deliver lessons and supporting resources.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the Team Improvement Plan for Geography and its implementation.
  • Contribute to the School Development Plan.
  • Produce high quality lesson plans with supporting resources for own classes.
  • Share planning and resources with other colleagues.
  • Share model answers with students to aid self-assessment.
  • Provide students with feedback after milestone assessments to guide improvement.
  • Maintain paper and electronic records on SIMS.
  • Track student progress to inform teaching and curriculum development.
  • Deliver high quality teaching and learning experiences leading to progress and engagement.
  • Communicate effectively with parents of students.
  • Contribute to marketing activities and promote the partnership of schools.
  • Register students in tutor groups and monitor attendance and participation.
  • Monitor attendance, achievement and behaviour and support development.
  • Deliver PSHEE during tutor time.
  • Promote welfare of children and young people and comply with safeguarding policies.
  • Be aware of and comply with data protection and other policies.
