Aspire People is recruiting Geography Teachers to cover Birmingham and Solihull secondary schools on daily supply, short-term and longer-term bookings. We welcome teachers with QTS/QTLS and a Geography specialism, capable of delivering engaging lessons and maintaining strong classroom routines across KS3/KS4.

Longer-term assignments and opportunities for additional Humanities work may arise. We place candidates according to location, availability and school needs.

Formación

• Experience delivering Geography within a secondary school environment.
• Strong subject knowledge across KS3 and KS4.
• Confidence adapting teaching for mixed-ability classes, including SEND and EAL pupils.

Responsabilidades

• Deliver engaging Geography lessons across KS3 and KS4.
• Teach physical and human Geography, including climate, ecosystems, population and development.
• Support pupils studying GCSE Geography.
• Plan and adapt lessons to meet different abilities and learning needs.
• Maintain positive classroom routines and manage behaviour effectively.
• Assess pupil progress and provide feedback as required.
• Support wider Humanities teaching where appropriate to your experience.

WHAT OPPORTUNITIES ARE WE RECRUITING FOR?

We are recruiting Geography Teachers for consideration for future daily supply, short-term cover, regular weekly bookings and longer-term teaching assignments.

Depending on the school's requirements, responsibilities may include:

• Delivering engaging Geography lessons across KS3 and KS4.
• Teaching physical and human Geography, including climate, ecosystems, population, development and global challenges.
• Supporting pupils studying GCSE Geography.
• Planning and adapting lessons to meet different abilities and learning needs.
• Maintaining positive classroom routines and managing behaviour effectively.
• Assessing pupil progress and providing feedback where required.
• Supporting wider Humanities teaching where appropriate to your experience.

Experience teaching A-Level Geography or supporting geographical fieldwork would be an advantage for relevant assignments.

Long-term positions may involve additional planning, marking and departmental responsibilities.

These are prospective opportunities across multiple schools, rather than a confirmed vacancy at one specific school.

We are looking for qualified teachers with:

• QTS or QTLS and a Geography teaching specialism.
• Experience delivering Geography within a secondary school environment.
• Secure subject knowledge across the KS3 and KS4 curriculum.
• Strong behaviour management and the ability to establish clear expectations.
• Confidence adapting teaching for mixed-ability classes, including SEND and EAL pupils.
• A professional, reliable and adaptable approach.

Applications are welcomed from experienced Geography Teachers and Early Career Teachers.

Teachers with a Geography specialism who are also confident delivering History or Religious Studies are particularly encouraged to apply, as this may broaden the range of suitable Humanities opportunities.
