Tradewind Recruitment are partnering with a supportive secondary school in Milton Keynes to recruit a dedicated Geography Teacher for November 2026 or January 2027 starts.

Deliver engaging Geography across KS3/KS4 with KS5 opportunities where available. This full-time, permanent/long-term role offers MPS/UPS pay depending on experience and qualifications.

Qualifications

• Qualified teacher with QTS/QTLS (or equivalent) and Geography specialist.
• Strong subject knowledge and confident classroom presence.
• Engaging, reflective teaching approach and inclusive practice.
• Excellent communication and collaborative teamwork.
• ECTs encouraged to apply with development opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging Geography lessons across KS3 and KS4, with KS5 opportunities where available.
• Inspire curiosity and critical thinking about people, places, environments and global issues.
• Use creative teaching approaches to bring topics such as climate change, sustainability, population, development and urbanisation to life.
• Plan, assess and adapt lessons to support students of varying abilities and learning needs.
• Encourage students to develop strong geographical knowledge, enquiry skills and an understanding of the world around them.
• Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to support achievement.
• Contribute to wider school life through enrichment activities, fieldwork opportunities and departmental initiatives.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain high standards of teaching, learning and behaviour.

The Role

• Strong subject knowledge and a confident, positive classroom presence.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues.
• Effective classroom and behaviour management skills.
• A passion for inspiring young people and making Geography accessible, relevant and engaging.
