Full-Time Geography Teacher – Havant, Hampshire

GSL Education are thrilled to offer a full-time Geography Teacher role at a vibrant secondary school in Havant. The position is set to commence this September 2025, offering a generous salary ranging from £30,000 to £50,000 per annum, depending on your experience. This opportunity begins with a welcoming approach—school tours are available ahead of the interview, allowing you to get a real feel for the school community. Whether you are an Early Career Teacher (ECT) taking your first steps into the profession or an experienced educator seeking a fresh challenge, the school is keen to support teachers at every stage of their journey. The school will be holding interviews over the next few weeks.

Responsibilities of the Geography Teacher:

  • Deliver engaging and well-structured Geography lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Inspire students to explore environmental, social, and global issues.
  • Use a variety of teaching methods to cater to different learning styles and abilities.
  • Track student progress and contribute to raising attainment across the department.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to enrich the curriculum and school life.

Requirements of the Geography Teacher:

  • The school is open to applications from both Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced educators.
  • A degree in Geography or a related field.
  • Experience teaching Geography at secondary schools.
  • Strong classroom management skills and a passion for the subject.
  • Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
  • Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
