Job summary

Flourish Education are recruiting for a Geography Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive Secondary School in Quinton. This is a 0.6 teaching role (3 days per week) starting September 2026 and running to July 2027, with responsibilities across KS3 and KS4, including planning, marking, assessment and reports.

The successful candidate will hold QTS and recent UK secondary school Geography experience, possess a strong understanding of the National Curriculum and assessment requirements, and

Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, mark and assess KS3 and KS4 lessons.
  • Contribute to parents' evenings and report writing.
  • Deliver engaging Geography lessons and manage the classroom.
  • Collaborate with the Humanities department.

Flourish Education are recruiting for a Geography Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive Secondary School in Quinton. Our partnership school is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and engaging Geography Teacher to teach Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4) students. This is an excellent opportunity to inspire young people through engaging Geography lessons while working within a collaborative Humanities department.

The successful Geography Teacher will have full teaching responsibilities, including planning, preparation, marking, assessment, parents' evenings and report writing for KS3 and KS4 classes.

This is a 0.6 teaching role (3 days per week), starting in September 2026 and continuing until July 2027.

Required Skills and Experience as a Geography Teacher:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Previous experience teaching Geography within a UK Secondary School
  • A strong understanding of the National Curriculum and assessment requirements
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
  • A commitment to creating a positive and engaging learning environment
  • Ability to plan and deliver high-quality lessons independently
Benefits of working as a Geography Teacher with Flourish Education:
  • Pay from £174.71–£240.70 per day, equating to £34,068–£46,937 per annum based on working five days per week for a full school year (salary will be pro rata for this 0.6 role), dependent on experience (M1–M6)

This Secondary School is based in Quinton and is easily accessible by car and public transport from Harborne, Bartley Green, Halesowen, Northfield, Bearwood, Edgbaston, Smethwick and South Birmingham. On-site parking is available for staff.
