Job summary

Penguin Recruitment is seeking a Geoenvironmental Engineer to join our Leeds team. The role focuses on site investigations, reporting, and fieldwork supervision within a multidisciplinary consultancy providing civil, structural and environmental engineering services across the UK.

The ideal candidate will have a geology/environmental science/civil engineering background, with at least two years of post-graduate experience, a UK driving licence, and the willingness to travel.

Qualifications

  • Degree in geology, environmental science, civil engineering or similar.
  • Ideally a Masters in geoenvironmental or geotechnical discipline.
  • At least two years of relevant post-graduate experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, report writing.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare desk studies and technical reports.
  • Produce factual and interpretative ground investigation reports.
  • Monitor groundwater and ground gas; collect samples.
  • Log and sample soils and rock during site investigations.
  • Supervise ground investigation works and coordinate subcontractors.
  • Support remediation and earthworks projects.
  • Provide technical support to internal teams.

A well-established, employee-owned engineering consultancy is seeking a Geoenvironmental Engineer to join its growing team in Leeds. This is a great opportunity for a Geoenvironmental Engineer to join a multidisciplinary consultancy delivering civil, structural and environmental engineering projects across the UK.

Requirements

To be considered for this Geoenvironmental Engineer role, candidates should have:

  • A degree in geology, environmental science, civil engineering or similar

  • At least two years of relevant post-graduate experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including report writing
  • Good organisation and time management skills
  • A full UK driving licence
  • Full right to work in the UK
  • Willingness to travel and stay away when required
