Job summary

Penguin Recruitment Ltd. is seeking a Geoenvironmental Engineer to join a specialist consultancy in Birmingham. The role covers desk studies, ground investigations, data interpretation, risk assessment and remediations across contaminated land projects.

You will work with clients, contractors and regulators, supporting project delivery and professional development within a collaborative, multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• A degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience in contaminated land assessment and ground investigation.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Live in or near Birmingham with commuting ability.

Responsibilities

• Undertake Phase 1 desk studies and contaminated land assessments.
• Plan, coordinate and supervise ground investigations.
• Interpret soil, groundwater and gas monitoring data.
• Complete risk assessments and develop remediation strategies.
• Prepare factual and interpretative reports, including validation and verification reports.
• Liaise with clients, contractors and regulatory authorities.
• Support remediation design and oversee remedial works on site.

The Role - Geoenvironmental Engineer
