Job summary

RSK Geosciences in Bristol, UK, seeks a Geo-Environmental Engineer for a full-time, permanent role based mainly on-site. The candidate will manage fieldwork activities, conduct desk studies, plan projects with subcontractors, and prepare technical reports for diverse clients including engineers and local authorities.

The role requires a BSc in Geology, Environmental Science, or related subject, up to 3 years of experience, and a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• BSc degree in Geology, Chemistry, Environmental Science or related subject (essential).
• Up to 3 years relevant work experience.
• Willing to spend significant time on site and away from home.
• Full UK driving licence essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage fieldwork including supervising drilling and excavation, and monitoring gas and groundwater.
• Undertake Phase 1 Desk Studies and intrusive site investigations for environmental/geotechnical purposes.
• Support project planning with subcontractors and SHEQ documentation.
• Schedule soil, rock and water samples for lab testing.
• Write factual and interpretative reports.
• Support tender managers in preparing fee proposals.
