Job summary

RSK Geosciences in Birmingham, UK is seeking a Geo-Environmental Engineer to join our growing team. This full‑time, permanent role offers opportunities to work on Phase I/II investigations, reporting, and on‑site fieldwork within a leading multidisciplinary environmental consultancy.

You will contribute to soil logging, environmental monitoring, and project management while developing professionally through our training and diverse client base.

Qualifications

  • BSc in Geology, Environmental Science, or a related discipline (MSc desirable).
  • Working towards Chartered status with a relevant professional body.
  • Typically 1–5 years’ experience in geo‑environmental or geotechnical work.
  • Strong understanding of geology, ground investigation practices, contaminated land and geotechnics.
  • Basic awareness of planning legislation.
  • Ability to complete factual and interpretive assessments to a competent level.
  • Experience working within a multi‑disciplinary consultancy environment.
  • Proven ability to manage time, resources and budgets effectively.
  • Full UK driving licence.

Key Responsibilities
