Job summary

Genomics seeks a Data Scientist to join our Science Software team in a hybrid London or Oxford hub. You will apply advanced statistics and machine learning to large-scale genetic and health data, building production-grade analytics and software tools.

You should have a PhD in genetics/genomics or related field, strong Python/R skills, and experience with cloud/HPC environments. This role offers a collaborative, globally diverse environment with extensive training and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of human genetics and functional/genomics concepts.
• Experience applying statistical and machine learning methods to genomics data.
• Proficiency in Python and/or R for data analysis; good software development practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop and integrate processing, QC and analysis for new data types into production tools.
• Apply statistical and ML methods with robustness and reproducibility.
• Collaborate across teams to integrate functional genomics data sources.
