Job summary

The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Genetic Analyst to support the Clinical Genomics department in Sutton. The post involves carrying out analytical molecular diagnostics investigations and providing high quality diagnostic services, with tests including PCR, sequencing, NGS and ddPCR.

The role includes collaboration across the team, training of new staff, and involvement in IT/data management and quality systems to ensure accreditation standards are maintained.

Responsibilities

• Take day-to-day responsibility for the quality of technical and analytical work produced.
• Ensure timely provision of core and technologically complex analytical/diagnostic services, including PCR, RQ-PCR, sequencing, NGS and ddPCR.
• Monitor quality control of all the tests performed.
• Assist in the preparation of SOPs and other documentation
