Job summary

The Wellcome Sanger Institute, Radford Lab in Cambridge, seeks a motivated postdoctoral scientist to lead a project identifying new diagnoses and treatments for genetic neurodevelopmental conditions in children.

You will apply high-throughput molecular and cellular techniques, including base/prime editing, CRISPR/Cas9 screens, NGS assays, and single-cell RNAseq, while collaborating with internal and external scientists.

Qualifications

  • PhD required or close to completion.
  • Experience with advanced molecular biology techniques is ideal.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a research project focused on genetic neurodevelopmental conditions.
  • Apply high-throughput molecular and cellular techniques.
  • Characterise thousands of variants in promoters/regulatory regions.
  • Supervise junior lab members and contribute to group meetings and seminars.
