Job summary

Powerhire UK is seeking a Generator Service Engineer in Dover, Kent. You will install and maintain our generator fleet both in the workshop and at customer sites, perform testing and certification, fault finding and repairs, and participate in the on-call rota to attend breakdowns.

The role requires a can-do attitude, a full driver's license, IT competency, and strong time management and customer service skills. Training and a company vehicle are provided for Kent/South East based staff.

Qualifications

• Desirable qualification in Electrical & Electronic Engineering (18th edition).
• Full drivers licence is required.
• Be competent with IT.
• Have good time management and organisational skills.
• Excellent customer service skills and “can do” attitude.
• Experience with LV switchboards would be advantageous.

Job description

JOB TITLE: Generator Service Engineer
DIVISION: Rental Department
LOCATION: Dover, Kent
REPORTABLE TO: Service Manager
HOURS: 40 hours, Monday to Friday

We are looking for an additional Service Engineer with a ‘can-do’ attitude to join our Powerhire Rental team. You will undertake installation and maintenance of our fleet of generators both within the workshop and on customer sites.
Key Responsibilities:

• Installation and maintenance of our fleet of generators both within the workshop and on our customer sites
• Testing and certification of electrical distribution equipment Generator fleet fault finding and repairs Maintain and repair cable.
• Part of the company on call rota
• Attend breakdowns

Qualifications & Requirements:

Remuneration:

• 20 to 23 days holiday, plus birthday leave and bank holidays
• Be part of our out of hours call out service
• Unlimited Overtime available on Weekday and Weekends

• Fully expensed company vehicle
• Preferably based in Kent or South East
