Job summary

First Military Recruitment Ltd in the Midlands is seeking a Generator Engineer to service, maintain and install generators and control systems at customer sites. You will diagnose mechanical and electrical faults, troubleshoot control panels and switchgear, and perform/provide load bank testing. Deepsea controller upgrades are part of the role.

The position offers a competitive package with a new company vehicle, strong pension, weekly pay, PPE and full back-office support.

Qualifications

• Time-served generator engineer.
• Electrical bias with good mechanical knowledge (18th Edition).
• Proven fault finding on generator control panels and switchgear.
• Competent with portable proof load bank testing.
• Familiarity with Deepsea controllers and upgrade capability.
• Knowledge of UPS systems preferred but not essential.
• Full UK driving licence.
• CSCS/ECS card.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and install generators and control systems at customer premises.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults.
• Carry out fault finding on generator control panels and switchgear.
• Perform portable proof load bank testing.
• Upgrade existing control systems, including Deepsea controllers.
