Job summary

WRITER is seeking a software engineer focused on generative AI to design, build, and scale secure AI services for large enterprises. You’ll own architecture from proposal to production, delivering low-latency APIs and robust systems across its core platform.

You will work in a hybrid role, collaborating with product managers, data scientists, and DevOps, while leveraging Python, FastAPI, React, and cloud technologies to enable enterprise-wide AI adoption.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years hands-on software engineering with Python in production.
• Experience building generative AI apps using LLMs and vector DBs (Pinecone/Weaviate/pgvector).
• Experience with microservices, RESTful APIs, and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) and Docker/Kubernetes.
• Strong knowledge of FastAPI, Asyncio, PostgreSQL, and AI tooling like Claude, Cursor, Copilot.
• Exposure to IAM, SSO, OAuth, RBAC and enterprise security practices.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop robust, secure, and scalable generative AI services and applications using Python and modern frameworks to drive enterprise-wide transformation
• Build and optimize high-performance, low-latency APIs and microservices to integrate AI models and agentic workflows into our core platform
• Act as a whole-systems thinker by making meaningful system design decisions and owning the architecture of core platform components from proposal through production
• Implement and maintain responsive UIs using React and TypeScript to deliver intuitive experiences
• Drive proactivity by communicating plans and proposals to cross-functional teams and collaborating with PMs, data scientists, and DevOps
• Partner with DevOps to build CD/monitoring systems ensuring performance, security, and reliability
