Wipro in the United Kingdom is partnering with a leading insurer on a major AI transformation programme. We are seeking an exceptional AI Engineer to join a growing enterprise AI team and help deliver innovative GenAI solutions at scale.

You will work with AI Architects, Data Scientists and Business Leaders to design, build and deploy secure, scalable AI capabilities, while ensuring regulatory compliance and governance in a highly regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Strong experience developing and deploying AI, ML or GenAI solutions.
• Hands-on with LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG frameworks and vector databases.
• Experience with Python and modern AI frameworks (LangChain, Semantic Kernel).

Help Shape the Future of AI in Insurance

We are partnering with one of the UK's leading insurance organisations on a major AI transformation programme and are looking for an exceptional AI Engineer to join a growing enterprise AI team.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge initiatives spanning Generative AI, Agentic AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), Semantic Search, AI Agents and Enterprise AI Platforms, helping deliver innovative solutions at scale across a complex, highly regulated environment.

You'll work alongside AI Architects, Data Scientists, Engineers and Business Leaders to build secure, scalable and production-ready AI capabilities that create measurable business value.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build and deploy enterprise-grade AI and GenAI solutions.
• Develop applications powered by Large Language Models (LLMs) and foundation models.
• Build agentic AI and multi-agent solutions to automate complex business processes.
• Implement RAG architectures, vector databases and semantic search capabilities.
• Integrate AI services into enterprise applications using modern APIs and cloud-native architectures.
• Optimise, monitor and improve AI model performance in production environments.
• Collaborate with architecture, security and governance teams to ensure responsible and compliant AI adoption.
• Support the evolution of enterprise AI platforms, engineering standards and MLOps capabilities.
• Stay ahead of emerging AI technologies and contribute to innovation across the organisation.

What We're Looking For

• Strong experience developing and deploying AI, Machine Learning or Generative AI solutions.
• Hands-on expertise with LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG frameworks and vector databases.
• Experience with Python and modern AI frameworks such as LangChain, Semantic Kernel or equivalent.
• Knowledge of Agentic AI, AI orchestration frameworks and autonomous workflows.
• Experience working with cloud platforms, particularly AWS and/or Azure.
• Familiarity with MLOps, CI/CD pipelines and production AI operations.
• Strong software engineering and API development skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
• Experience working in regulated industries such as insurance, banking or financial services is advantageous.
