Job summary

Athelstan CP School in Leeds is seeking a General Teaching Assistant to join a hardworking team and provide classroom support. The role is permanent and part-time, totaling up to 17.5 hours per week across afternoons.

In addition, the position includes 7.5 hours per week as a Midday Supervisor, assisting lunchtime routines and student supervision. The post begins September 2026 and requires a Level 2 qualification in teaching and learning.

General Teaching Assistant and Midday Supervisor

Contract: Permanent

Location: Leeds, West Yorkshire – Athelstan Community Primary School

Athelstan School is looking to appoint an outstanding and highly motivated Teaching Assistant to join our hard-working, dedicated team. The post is 10 hours per week, working afternoons across the school, providing classroom support as required.

In addition, this role incorporates 7.5 hours per week as a Midday Supervisor, supporting the children at lunchtime routines.

• General Teaching Assistant - 10 hours per week
• Midday Supervisor - 7.5 hours per week

This is required from September 2026.
