Job summary

Workplace Doctors invites applications for a Registrar / LAS SpR / Speciality Doctor / StR4+ in General Surgery. The post will commence ASAP and offers the chance to develop registrar-level skills and possibly more advanced skills for those with appropriate experience.

The role includes on-call duties, ward rounds, and active participation in audits and teaching within a multidisciplinary team. Salary ranges from £59,175 to £95,400 per year, with sponsorship options for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• GMC Registration is essential.
• IELTS or OET (IELTS overall score 7.5 or OET Grade 'B') for IMG.
• Willingness to work within a multidisciplinary team and follow hospital policies.

Responsibilities

• Co responsibility for the proper functioning of the General Surgery department.
• Supervise junior medical staff and participate in on-call rota.
• Attend clinics, assess patients and formulate treatment decisions.
• Conduct daily ward rounds with consultant cover.
• Engage in clinical audits and multidisciplinary team meetings.
• Teach and train staff in medical disciplines.
