Job summary

Gov Facilities Services Limited (GFSL) is seeking a General Supervisor to lead the on-site facilities management team at HMP Winchester and ensure safe, compliant operations within the prison environment.

You will work with plumbers, electricians, carpenters, cleaners and administrators, promoting safety, efficiency and collaboration while supporting rehabilitation and secure, humane conditions for prisoners, staff and visitors.

Qualifications

• Previous recognised experience and supervisory skills in the facilities management service.
• Experience of compliance.
• Knowledge of relevant health and safety requirements.
• Good Health & Safety knowledge.

Location: HMP Winchester, Romsey Rd, Winchester. SO22 5DF

We are seeking a dedicated General Supervisor to join our team at HMP Winchester, a category B/C, adult male prison.

• Previous recognised experience and supervisory skills in the facilities management service

• Excellent organisational, time management and people skills.

Future Plans.

GFSL has been notified by it's shareholder (MOJ) that the provision of FM Services will in future be delivered by the private sector. This means that following a successful procurement process, GFSL's services will complete transfer to a private sector provider/providers no sooner than August 2027.
