Job summary

Aramark is hiring a General Service Assistant at Alanbrooke Barracks, Thirsk. You’ll serve food and drinks, operate tills, and keep counters clean, both front and back of house, while supporting kitchen and service teams to deliver great experiences.

The role offers part-time hours (20 per week, Mon–Fri) with evening shifts and benefits, and training toward Food Hygiene Level 2 and Health & Safety Level 2. Must be 18+, UK work eligible, and transport-reliant.

Qualifications

• Customer service or food service experience is a plus (but full training provided)
• Must be 18+
• Eligible to work in the UK and have lived here for 3+ years (security checks required)
• Must have a reliable mode of transport due to the location of the site and limited public transport.

Responsibilities

• Serving food and drinks with a smile
• Operating tills and handling payments
• Setting up counters and cleaning all areas front and back of house
• Supporting kitchen and service teams to deliver exceptional experiences
• Preparation of any other public facing areas as required
• Undertake relevant training as required of all aspects of the role, including working towards your Food Hygiene Level 2 and Health and Safety Level 2 qualifications.

Pay rate: £12.71 per hour
Contract type:Permanent, part-time. 20 hours per week, Mon to Fri
Shift times: between 15:00 and 19:00, so your evenings are free!

What you'll do:
