Job Title: General Science Teacher

Are you a passionate and enthusiastic Science teacher who enjoys inspiring young people to explore the world around them?

We are seeking a dynamic General Science Teacher to join a successful and supportive Science department at a lovely school. This is a fantastic opportunity to teach Biology, Chemistry, and Physics at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, helping students develop curiosity, critical thinking, and a strong foundation in scientific understanding. The role begins in September 2025.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and effective science lessons across KS3 and KS4
• Plan, prepare, and assess learning in line with curriculum and exam board requirements
• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students can succeed
• Track student progress and support those who need additional guidance or challenge
• Contribute to the development of resources and schemes of work within the department
• Participate in school activities, enrichment events, and CPD opportunities
• Uphold the school’s behaviour and safeguarding policies at all times

Ideal Candidate:

• Holds QTS (or is working towards it) and a relevant science degree
• Has sound knowledge of the secondary science curriculum
• Is a confident and adaptable classroom practitioner
• Has strong communication and organisational skills
• Is passionate about science education and pupil progress
