Job summary

W P RECRUITMENT HR LTD in Ryde is seeking a General Production Operative for immediate start until Christmas. Work 37 hours/week, Monday–Thursday, 7am–4:45pm, across multiple factory departments with machine operation and manual tools.

Candidates should read technical drawings and maintain high quality standards to meet schedules. Experience in fabrication/manufacturing and strong hand–eye coordination are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have fabrication/manufacturing or engineering experience including operation of machinery.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
• Good attention to detail and precision in work.

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery, power and hand tools across different factory departments.

General Production Operative

Industry: Manufacturing

Location: Ryde

Hours: 37 hours per week, 7am - 4.45pm

Days: Monday - Thursday

Duration: immediate start until Christmas ( may be extended).

Duties:

Working across a variety of departments within the factory, operation of machinery, power and hand tools,

Working to technical specifications, quality standards, established procedures and manufacturing schedules,

collecting materials and equipment,

selecting, fabricating or modifying components to measurements and specifications,

align and assemble parts to build complex units,

report issues, malfunction or defective parts.

Experience:

Must have previous fabrication manufacturing or engineering experience including operation of machinery, with the ability to read and understand technical drawings, plus good attention to detail.

Must have good hand to eye coordination and manual dexterity with the ability to use hand tools and machinery.

Must have good communication skills and be able to work well on own, to instructions and deadlines, as well as part of a team.

Salary: £13 per hour worked
