St Thomas Surgery in Wales is seeking a salaried GP to join a well-established practice serving around 13,000 patients from one main site and two branch surgeries. The post offers flexible working arrangements, support for teaching and training, and a collaborative, professional team focused on safe, patient-centred care.

Start date January 2027. We provide 6 weeks annual leave plus 1 week study leave (pro rata), weekly protected teaching sessions, mentorship for newly qualified GPs, and

Qualifications

• Provide safe, effective and patient-centred care within their professional competence.
• Make appropriate referrals and liaise with secondary care and other healthcare professionals.
• Participate in clinical governance, audit and significant event reviews.
• Maintain accurate and contemporaneous clinical records.
• Contribute to practice meetings and service development.
• Support the teaching and training of medical students, F2 doctors and GP Registrars, as appropriate.
• Maintain continuing professional development and keep up to date with relevant clinical guidance.
• Work effectively as part of the wider practice team.
• Maintain professional standards and patient confidentiality.

Responsabilités

Description du poste

St Thomas Surgery has around 13,000 patients and is a well-established, forward-thinking and successful training practice with a dynamic and supportive partnership. We operate from one main surgery and two branch surgeries, one of which is a dispensing surgery, serving a diverse and engaged patient population. There are currently 4 partners and 3 salaried GPs, working alongside practice nurses and HCAs. The working day is split into 2 clinical sessions. Salaried GPs contribute to the duty rota pro rata at a 1:4 frequency, and the duty doctor allocation for Friday afternoons is shared equally.
