Job summary

Meeveem Limited is seeking a Locum Doctor (General Practitioner) to cover an MoD assignment at Weeton Medical Centre, Preston, Lancashire. This 22-hour-per-week locum role focuses on delivering high-quality care to MoD service personnel in a military setting.

Pay rates include PAYE £60.10/hour (holiday pay included) and Self-employed £69.12/hour. Responsibilities include PHC clinics, OH fitness for work assessments, and documentation per MOD policy.

Qualifications

• Registration with the General Medical Council on the main register and the GMC GP Register without restrictions.
• Current, satisfactory annual appraisal in line with GMP.
• Certification for Safeguarding Children and Young People and Saf safeguarding Adults up to Level 3.
• Must be on the UK NHS Performers List and provide an NHS Performer number.

Responsibilities

• Undertake Primary Healthcare clinics for Military and entitled personnel.
• Examinations and Occupational Health fitness for work assessments within the locum doctor’s scope.
• Inform the local medical authority of cases affecting a serviceperson’s ability to perform duties.
• Complete reports and documentation per MOD policy or other government requirements.
• Attend management reviews or case conferences with PHC and/or line management as required.

We are looking for a Locum Doctor (General Practitioner) to cover an assignment with the Ministry of Defence (MoD), at Weeton Medical Centre, in Preston, Lancashire.

This is a locum role (22 hours per week) and the successful candidate will deliver an exceptional standard of care to the MoD service personnel.

Pay rates:

PAYE - £60.10 (£53.63 + £6.47 holiday pay) per hour

Self-employed - £69.12 per hour

• Undertake Primary Healthcare (PHC) clinics for Military and entitled personnel.
• Examinations and Occupational Health (OH) fitness for work assessments within the locum doctors scope of experience and qualification.
• To inform the local medical authority of any case that may affect a servicepersons ability to undertake their duties.
• To complete reports and documentation in accordance with MOD policy or the requirements of any other government department.
• To attend individual management reviews or case conferences with Primary Healthcare (PHC) and/or line management as required.
