Job summary

DoctorPA Secure LTD is seeking a General Practitioner to deliver comprehensive GP services within a prison setting in the United Kingdom. The role involves conducting consultations, clinical assessments, diagnosing and treating a range of conditions, and arranging referrals as needed.

You will manage chronic and acute presentations, including mental health and substance misuse, while collaborating with nursing staff, mental health professionals, pharmacists, and external healthcare providers.

Responsibilities

• Provide full GP services including consultations, clinical assessments, diagnosis, treatment, and referrals
• Manage chronic diseases, acute presentations, and mental health conditions.
• Contribute to the management of substance misuse and support detox pathways.
• Work collaboratively with nursing staff, mental health professionals, pharmacists, and external healthcare providers.
• Participate in clinical audits, risk assessments, and safeguarding processes.
• Maintain comprehensive clinical records using the prisons electronic health record system.
• Take part in clinical governance activities and support continuous quality improvement.
