An established industry player is seeking a dedicated General Practitioner to join their supportive team in a primary care setting. The post-holder will provide general medical services and address a wide range of health needs in a primary care setting, ensuring high standards of care for all registered and temporary patients.
They will work with the GP partners, salaried GPs, Practice Manager, nursing, and administrative teams to deliver comprehensive healthcare services. The appointee will also have opportunities to lead in key disease areas, monitor treatment trends, staff training, prescribing, and help develop healthcare services for a diverse patient list. The practice currently has 11,100 registered patients.
CLINICAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
In accordance with the practice timetable, the post-holder will undertake duties including face-to-face and telephone consultations, home visits, signing prescriptions, handling patient queries, test results, medical reports, and examinations (e.g., DWP reports), ensuring timely paperwork and correspondence.
Making professional, autonomous decisions regarding presenting problems, whether self-referred or referred by other healthcare workers.
Recording clear, contemporaneous IT-based consultation notes to standard.
Collecting data for audit purposes.
Preparing and issuing computer-generated acute and repeat prescriptions, avoiding handwritten prescriptions where possible.
Prescribing according to local or national guidelines.
In general, the post-holder will perform all typical duties associated with a GP in primary care.

Ringwood Medical Practice
We operate from a modern, purpose-built surgery in the centre of Ringwood, accessible from the A31. We aim to preserve the friendly, accessible, responsive elements of traditional general practice, offering continuity and total triage—dealing with patient problems on the day through remote triage, followed by telephone or face-to-face appointments as needed.
Our systems support long-term condition management, with experienced nurses for COPD, asthma, and diabetes. We consistently score highly on QOF.

Salary ranges from £66,144 to £71,232 per year, with a pro-rata rate of £11,024 to £11,872, pending pay awards.
