We have an exciting opportunity a General Practitioners to join ourPrimary Careteam atHMP Foston Hall,a female closed prison based in Derby. HMP Foston Hall houses around 300 patients aged between 18-75 years of age. Within this role you will be delivering general practice clinics to support long term conditions and acute needs.Applicants must have a specialist interested in female health, and have competencies in female specific health needsincluding insertion and removal of LARCs.

Hours

2 days per week either Monday and Wednesday or Wednesday and Friday

Salary

This position is part time,you’ll receive an annual salary up to £131,000per annum FTE- depending on experience.

What you'll be doing

Our General Practitioners are extremely valued and are well respected members of the Prison Healthcare community, as a General Practitioner, your responsibilities will vary. You will

• Deliver first class healthcare to a diverse group of patients, and therefore as a General Practitioner at Practice Plus Group you get the opportunity to further develop your knowledge in areas you wouldn’t usually experience within a practice, or even A&E environment.
• Provide clinical assessment and diagnosis to patient’s requirements and make timely decisions regarding future management.
• Provide a highly specialist resource to other members of the healthcare team at site, as well as the patients you work with having active
• involvement in clinical governance and effectiveness activities.

Qualifications required
