9 Alloway Place seek to employ an enthusiastic, highly motivated Practice Nurse to join our forward-thinking, friendly Practice Team.

We require 26-30 hours per week over 4 working days (Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri).

9 Alloway Place is a town centre, sea-facing Practice with 5350 patients. The premises is a 5 minute walk from both Ayr Train and Bus Stations.

We have 4 GP Partners who are supported by an experienced Practice Team with attached Multi-disciplinary staff, namely Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, Mental Health, Social and Occupational Therapy practitioners. We teach 4th & 5th Year Medical Students and train FY2 Doctors.

You should be experienced at Level 5 or Level 6 of the General Practice Nurse Knowledge & Skills Framework. You should be a reliable, motivated and enthusiastic individual who enjoys working autonomously, but also as a key member of the practice team. You should have excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise work and think creatively about service provision, delivery and quality improvement.

A prescribing qualification, experience in chronic disease management and cervical screening is desirable, however, training, support will be provided, through the GPN Education Pathway, if necessary. We will encourage your continuing professional development in order to meet the needs of the practice population.

You should hold a valid NMC registration and be eligible to work in the UK.

Salary will be competitive and commensurate with your experience and/or training needs.
