Job summary

Lakeside Healthcare is seeking a motivated General Practice Assistant (GPA) to join our Corby team, part of Rockingham Forest PCN. This 30-hour-per-week role combines clinical and administrative duties, supporting GPs with patient care, blood tests, and care coordination within a multidisciplinary team.

Training opportunities include support towards the General Practice Assistant qualification; visa sponsorship is not available. Applicants must have right to work in the UK.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths/English at grade C or above.
• General Practice Assistant Certificate or willingness to work towards it.
• Phlebotomy qualification, ECG, Patient Health Checks, Blood Pressure Measuring.
• Basic First Aid knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and administrative support to practices.
• Improve patient access and capacity for long-term condition management.
• Prepare patients for consultations with baseline observations (BP, height/weight, ECG).
• Support medication review clinics with monitoring and investigations.
• Assist with long-term condition management and health checks.
