Ashton Recruitment is recruiting General Operatives for our client in Warren Point, Newry. Immediate start available for a temporary ongoing assignment.

Role includes loading/unloading, housekeeping, and general duties in an industrial environment. Own transport and full UK driving license are essential due to location, with a 7:00–16:30 (Mon–Thu) and 7:00–16:00 (Fri) schedule and £13.08 per hour pay.

Job description

Ashton Recruitment is currently seeking to recruit General Operatives to work for our client based in Warren Point. We are looking for candidates for an immediate start, who are willing to undertake any tasks required.

Position: General Operatives

Location: Warren Point, Newry

Duration: Temporary Ongoing

Rate of Pay: £13.08 per hour

Hours of Work: Monday to Thursday 7am to 4:30pm, Friday 7am to 4pm

Duties will include (but not be limited to):

• Assisting the loading and unloading of containers
• General housekeeping duties
• Assisting in the movement of goods
• Lifting, Loading and Carrying
• Working in a safe and timely fashion to ensure all deadlines are met
• Working in accordance with health and safety regulations
• Loading and unloading timber into machines

Essential Criteria:

• Previous experience in an industrial/ warehouse/ manufacturing environment
• Need to have own transport due to location- Full UK Driving license
• Heavy lifting
• Flexibility
• Excellent attendance and timekeeping
• Good attitude to work
• Willing to undertake any task to the best or their ability

Desirable Criteria:

• Manual Handling Certificate
