Job summary

Fortel Group is seeking a reliable General Operative / Semi-Skilled Labourer to join our construction team on major infrastructure projects. You will support trades, carry out labouring duties and help maintain health and safety and productivity on site.

Ideal candidates have construction experience, a valid CSCS card, and a good safety ethic. You will work collaboratively with the team on site in Stoke-on-Trent, with opportunities to learn and develop practical skills.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in construction, civil engineering or industrial environments.
• Valid CSCS Card.
• Good understanding of site health and safety requirements.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable, punctual and hardworking attitude.
• Willingness to undertake a Drugs & Alcohol Test where required.
• Full UK driving licence desirable but not essential.

• General labouring duties including lifting, loading, and site housekeeping.
• Operating basic hand and power tools safely.
• Assisting with installation, maintenance, and construction works.

• Reporting hazards, defects, and safety concerns promptly.
