Job summary

2 Sisters Food Group in Willand, Devon, is recruiting a Production Operative/Loader to join a busy chilled factory. You will handle, truss, cut and pack food products for top-tier customers, with a 4-day week and rotating shifts starting at 04:55.

Starting pay £13.26 rising to £13.94 after training, with on-site parking and benefits. You will work to quality and safety standards, maintain hygiene, and help the team meet production targets.

Qualifications

• English communication is required.
• Basic numeracy and literacy skills are essential.
• Good hand-eye coordination for handling products.
• Electric pallet truck and forklift licences preferred.
• Level 2 basic food safety and Level 2 H&S training preferred.
• Basic knife skills are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Handle, truss, cut and pack food products in a busy chilled factory.
• Maintain high standards of personal hygiene and presentation.
• Produce each product to required specifications and quality standards.
• Follow safe-working practices and halt unsafe activities.
• Undertake other duties to support factory operations.

the hours of work and shift patterns are:

4 days working week

Rotational shift. Start time: 04:55 am till 3:10 pm

• Wk1 Monday-Thursday
• Wk2 Wednesday - Saturday
• Wk3 Monday, Tuesday, Friday Saturday

Pay rates: £13.26 raising to £13.94 after successful training

Main Responsibilities

As a Production Operative with 2 Sisters, you will be handling, trussing, cutting and packing food products for top tier customers within a busy chilled factory environment.

• To correctly and effectively carry out the required functions, once trained to do so, in any area of the factory
• To maintain high standards of personal hygiene and presentation during working hours
• Produce each product to the required specification following all quality standards
• Follow all safe-working practices, halting any unsafe working practices.
• To undertake such other duties as may be reasonably required for the effective operation of the factory and unit.
