Danny Sullivan Group is recruiting two reliable General Operatives for a long-term opportunity at a brand-new bitumen facility in Avonmouth, working with Colas. Carry out general operative duties, support daily operations, follow site procedures for safety and efficiency, and maintain a clean, organized working environment.

No specific certificates are required; full training provided, with the chance to progress to Team Leader roles.

Salary: GBP14.5 - GBP14.5 per hour

General Operative – Long-Term Opportunity at Bitumen Facility in Avonmouth

Danny Sullivan Group is currently recruiting for 2 reliable General Operatives to join a long-term opportunity at a brand-new bitumen facility in Avonmouth, working with Colas.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a modern facility with long-term work available, full training provided and opportunities to progress into senior roles, including Team Leader positions.

Your Role as a General Operative:

Carry out general operative duties across the bitumen facility

Support the day-to-day running of the facility and operational activities

Follow site procedures and instructions to ensure safe and efficient operations

Maintain a clean, tidy and organised working environment

Work effectively alongside colleagues and site management

Follow all health & safety procedures and site rules

Attend and complete all required site training

Be flexible to work both day and night shifts as operational requirements change

Maintain high standards of reliability, punctuality and professionalism

What We’re Looking For as a General Operative:

Previous experience in a general operative or site-based role preferred

No specific qualifications or certificates required – full training provided

Reliable, punctual and hardworking attitude

Willingness to learn and develop new skills

Flexible approach to working hours and shift patterns

Good understanding of health & safety

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Successful completion of a drugs and alcohol test is required

Shift Patterns:

Initial shifts: Monday to Friday, 7:00am–4:00pm

Future night shifts: Sunday to Thursday, 3:00pm–midnight

Friday and Saturday off when working the night shift pattern

A 12-hour shift will be required every 35 days

Flexibility is essential as operational requirements develop

What You’ll Get as a General Operative:

£14.50 per hour (PAYE only)

Weekly pay – reliable and on time
