Job summary

VGC Group is seeking an experienced General Operative for a project-based role in Saxmundham, Suffolk, on a Tier 1 site. You will support site operations, assist trades, and help keep the site safe and efficient.

The position requires a valid CSCS card, prior labouring experience on construction sites, and a strong work ethic with reliability. You will work 7am–5pm, Monday to Friday, with travel or lodge not provided.

VGC Group are currently recruiting an experienced General Operative to join a project based in Saxmundham, Suffolk across the below dates:

• Monday 10th - 14th August
• Monday 7th- Wednesday 16th September
• Thursday 15th - Friday 30th October

This is a great opportunity for a reliable and hard-working labourer looking for work, and to gain experience with a Tier 1 client.

We are looking for someone who can work well as part of a team, and support site operations to help keep the project running safely and efficiently.

Pay Rate: £15.23 per hour PAYE

Shift Pattern: 7am - 5pm, Monday - Friday

Location: Saxmundham, Suffolk

Lodge and Travel is not available for this role.

As the General Operative on site, your responsibilities may include:

• Assisting trades and site management with general labouring duties
• Keeping the site clean, tidy, and safe at all times
• Moving materials and equipment around site
• Supporting with general site set-up and maintenance
• Following all site health and safety procedures
• Carrying out any other general site duties as required
