Job summary

Unilin Insulation is seeking a General Operative to perform GO1 Grade 1 tasks across the factory, promoting quality and safe working practices. The role runs Monday to Friday, 08:00-16:30, with a focus on continuous improvement and data accuracy.

You will participate in trials, support the technical department, and help maintain housekeeping and product knowledge across all areas, contributing to efficiency and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must complete GO1 Grade 1 training and understand safety standards.
• Maintain high workplace standards and product quality.
• Follow work instructions, meet deadlines and stay data accurate.

Responsibilities

• Complete training and all functions of GO1 Grade 1.
• Keep up good housekeeping in all factory areas.

• Record data accurately and maintain health and safety compliance.
• Work flexible hours to meet deadlines and assist in other tasks as required.

Your future job

We are looking for a skilled General Operative to join our team. The focus of this role is to complete all GO1 tasks to a high standard, by constantly challenging the status quo and be at the forefront of evolution, continuous improvement, quality and health, safety & welfare. Whist promoting Unilin’s core values of openness, integrity, adaptability, customer focus and team approach.

Working Monday to Friday 08:00-16:30

Key Accountabilities

Health & Safety - To encourage and practice working in a safe working as set out in the Health and Safety policy.

Quality Standards -Ensure they are supporting the team in performing to quality standards in terms of product quality and housekeeping.

Trial / Improvements - Participate in processes and production trials as and when required to ensure that they run successfully and support the technical department.Area / Line Performance: Adherence to plan and achieving line speeds, meeting standards required. Able to share knowledge with others and support with 'in house' training. Communication - Effective communication throughout the department. Ability to communicate with people clearly and effectively.Administration - Carry out necessary administrative tasks and ensure that systems are updated as required.

Key Tasks and Duties:

• Complete training and all functions of GO1 Grade 1

• Keep up to date knowledge of all products
• Ensure waste is discarded in appropriate manner
• Follow work instructions in all areas
• Complete and pass GO1 training in your designated area
• Ensure you comply with Health & Safety regulations
• You are responsible for your own Health & Safety and the Health and Safety of your fellow employees
• Ensure all data to be recorded is accurate and up to date
• Ensure area is prepared for start up to include correct labels and packaging
• Ensure quality guidelines are followed for all areas
• Undertake flexible working hours to meet deadlines
• Undertake any other tasks appropriate to the position, as requested by management #insulation
