Job summary

JRL Modular is seeking Factory Operatives to assemble modular pods and cupboards at our Newark-area facility. No prior experience is required as full training and all necessary tools are provided; a flexible team player is essential to join our growing operations.

You will perform assembly tasks for modular apartments, bathrooms and utility cupboards, plus a range of basic maintenance duties, while following all procedures and safety rules to support timely project delivery.

Qualifications

• No previous experience is required; full training is provided.
• Basic carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical & other maintenance duties may be involved.
• Must be a flexible team player with a can-do attitude.
• Must follow processes and work to health, safety, quality and productivity targets.
• Punctuality and a reliable attendance record are essential.
• Enthusiasm to learn new skills and contribute to the team.

Responsibilities

• Assemble modular apartments, bathrooms & utility cupboards.
• Perform basic carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical & related maintenance tasks as required.
• Adhere to all company procedures and health & safety rules.
• Support training of other team members in your areas of proficiency.
• Keep factory areas tidy and maintain a high level of housekeeping.
• Work safely and take responsibility for health & safety of yourself and colleagues.
• Undertake any other duties assigned by factory supervisors.

Factory Operative - Modular PODS & PUCS

Location: Carlton on Trent, NG23 6NT

Working Hours: Monday to Thursday 7:30am to 4:00pm and Friday 7:30am to 3:00pm

JRL Modular are looking for Factory Operatives to assemble, bathrooms and utility cupboards to supply to its onsite projects. No previous experience is required as full training is provided along with all the necessary tools and equipment.

This is a Permanent PAYE position based at JRL Modular factory in Newark, NG23. Due to continued growth we are seeking new recruits to join our team.

DUTIES

• Assembly of modular apartments, bathrooms & utility cupboards
• basic carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical & other maintenance duties
• Ensure all Company procedures are followed.
• To undertake any training as required, and to also assist in the training of other team members in the tasks you are proficient at.
• Ensure factory areas and your work space is kept tidy and clear and that a high level of housekeeping is maintained.
• To work safely and take responsibility for the Health & Safety of yourself and your colleagues.
• Any other duties required by factory supervisors.

SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED

• Previous assembly or basic construction experience is preferred but not essential
• Manual handling and use of power tools preferred but not essential
• A flexible Team player with a responsive and can do attitude.
• Ability to follow a process and work to targets - H&S, Quality and Productivity.
• Punctual with an excellent timekeeping and attendance record.
• Enthusiastic and eager to learn new skills.
