Job summary

TipTopJob is seeking an ambitious General Manager to lead a much-loved country pub through a major refurbishment and exciting growth phase. The role focuses on hospitality excellence, staff leadership, and developing new revenue streams across food, drink, accommodation and events.

The successful candidate will be an experienced host, commercially minded with proven P&L and cost-control capabilities, and comfortable guiding a team through change while preserving warmth and community spirit.

Qualifications

• An experienced General Manager from a quality pub, restaurant, hotel or destination venue.
• Commercially astute with strong P&L and cost control experience.
• Confident managing a busy, multifaceted hospitality operation.

Responsibilities

• Lead the business through refurbishment, reopening and growth.
• Recruit, train and inspire a high-performing front and back-of-house team.
• Develop multiple revenue streams across food, drink, accommodation and events.
• Take full ownership of sales, labour, stock control, budgets and profitability.
• Build strong relationships with the local community and surrounding businesses.
• Deliver exceptional standards while maintaining warmth and personality of a country pub.
• Create memorable experiences for local guests, destination diners and overnight visitors.
