We are currently recruiting for an outstanding General Manager to join and strengthen our highly experienced senior management team. As a General Manager, you will have the autonomy and responsibility for the day-to-day site management.

Additionally, you’ll also have accountability for:

• Achieving Depot objectives in terms of Health & Safety, security, productivity, transport, and cost
• Delivering outstanding service to our customers with a team driven to be the best they can be
• Providing the safest and healthiest environment in which your teams work
• Encouraging a competitive environment with clearly set productivity and service level targets for your teams
• Managing the Depot through P&L through effective planning and reporting

Qualifications

What we’re looking for

• Experience in the logistics or distribution industry, managing large, fast-paced, 24/7 operations with responsibility for a significant number of staff
• Confident communicator and presenter, capable of leading and managing teams, influencing strategy, and liaising with Directors
• Decisive and effective decision-maker in a time-pressured environment
• Passionate about building and motivating high-performing teams
• Enjoys resolving problems, demonstrating resilience, self-motivation, and flexibility

• Availability to cover any 5 shifts, including weekends, as depots operate year-round
• Full UK driving license is essential
