The New Jersey Agricultural Experiment Station ( NJAES ) is an integral component of Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. Program Associate I – Community Nutrition Outreach – Camden County for the New Jersey Agricultural Experiment Station ( NJAES ) within the School of Environmental and Biological Sciences. The position will provide SNAP -Ed outreach and education in Camden County, with occasional coverage in Burlington, Gloucester, and Mercer Counties and oversight of school wellness initiatives throughout the 4-county region.
The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program – Education ( SNAP -Ed) is a federally funded grant program that supports evidence-based nutrition education and obesity prevention interventions and projects for persons eligible for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program ( SNAP ) through complementary direct education, multi-level interventions, and community and public health approaches to improve nutrition. The goal of the services provided is to help program participants improve their food security; dietary quality; physical activity; and food safety behaviors.

Under Policy 100.3.1 Immunization Policy for Covered Individuals , if employment will commence during Flu Season, Rutgers University may require certain prospective employees to provide proof that they are vaccinated against Seasonal Influenza for the current Flu Season, unless the University has granted the individual a medical or religious exemption.
