We are looking for a new General Manager to join our team and lead this Clapham favourite to the next level.

You will know Clapham and be able to talk about what makes it such a great destination. You will know how to create a party, but also how to cater to a diverse audience of customers 7 days a week.

What you offer us?

Our General Managers work closely with the operations team to manage “their” business.

We ask that you lead and inspire your team from the front, finding innovative ways to delight your customers. You will ensure each guest receives the greatest hospitality, and every piece of food and drink is of the highest quality that Clapham has to offer.

You will work closely with your management team, including your head chef, to pair the finest food with the drinks and atmosphere that make your venue the beating heart of every shift.

You will be fully responsible for the P&L, so converting sales to profit is important. You will have an eagle eye for detail, ensuring our guests’ journey leaves them wanting more.

You will be at the forefront of training your team, with a genuine passion to develop future stars and advance your business. We believe in developing a strong bench and having a succession plan to reduce recruitment needs and develop our people into future Portobello General Managers.

You will demonstrate all of this by upholding our company values of honesty, integrity, and fairness with our teams, guests, and everyone associated with our business.
